I am looking for a project to allow me to synchronize Gmail and SugarCRM (version 5.5.0).

Hi David,

Thank you for your help. I have tried to use this project but when I click on the link to download it, I have a page of error (when I use firefox -see attached file). And when I use IE I can download something but it is a zip file...

I am looking for a project that can help me to synchronize my email, my contact and my calendar from gmail to sugar and from sugar to gmail.

This is an xpi file to be used as add on for Firefox. Right-click the file and choose "save link as" on your local disk. There right click it again and open with Firefox.

Dolce will help you to move emails/attachments from gmail to Sugar. You can also create contacts but there is no sync function for calendar and contacts. There are other projects on Sugarforge that are supposed to handle that but in my case one particular left me with a completely crippled Sugar version and so I can't recommend any.

An alternative is to use Gmail and Google Calendar to manage your email, contacts and calendar. There is a project that syncs Google Calendar to SugarCRM. However, they have not yet released the version for Sugar 5.5.

You can use Thunderbird for email and the free SugarCRM plugin for Thunderbird to archive messages in SugarCRM.

You could also use SugarCRM Professional and the SugarCRM plugin for MS Outlook to achieve what you need. This is the most reliable solution.
