Recently the HD on our exchange box blew up and we discovered our IT manager had no DR strategy or contingency for this event. As a result we were without email for 2 days. Since then we have decided to migrate from on-premise exchange to google apps for email aggregation, document sharing etc etc etc.
I am pleased to see that I can use sugar to connect to my mail and google docs apps. However, Sugar doesn't seem to have the facility to sync the calendar between itself and google. For us this is the missing piece in the jigsaw. As we are also switching from blackberry to Android phones early next year.
We have had synchronisation between Sugar and Outlook from using the pugin. We would prefer to do it at a server level rather than client by client.
What plans do Sugar have to include this type of integration in its base product?
I don't want another 3rd party piece of kit to manage. I know there are apps out there, but specifically I want to know if and when Sugar are going to do something like this themselves. It seems like a no-brainer to me.
