Default Handling email from new contact

I have experienced the following situation: I have an incoming email and there's no contact with this email address available yet so I decide to create one using the drop-down menu and selecting "Contact". I create the contact but don't link it to an account (because this doesn't exist yet, too, so it shall also be created, but I cannot do it in the same step, I rather have to open a new window or tab of my browser for this and I'm too much under time pressure now, so I decide I'll do it later). Once the contact is saved, the system loads the Compose Email page. I notice that my contact is mentioned as Contacts link for the reply message. I can't or don't want to answer right now, so I cancel this.
Now, if I search for this contact in the Contacts module, I don't find it, probably because it's not linked to an account. The only way I've currently found to find my newly created contact is to look in the read email list.
I create an account and try to link the contact to it, but it's not found - because it's not linked to any so far... The only way is to go back to the contact and select the account from there.

Is there an easier way to handle this?

    Thanks,
    George

    Hi George,
I undertand the process of creating account through contact. But what I would suggest is when u come to create contact page through e-mail, select the account tab in the contact page where a pop up appears and since there is no company, create an account by just entering three fields (quick enough). This is the only way I am afraid but quicker to create a account through contact. It does n't take much time before you forget what to compose in the email

    cheers,
    Nag

    Hi Nag,

Thanks for the hint. If the user comes back later to the newly created account and adds other de facto required information like mailing address, then it shall be fine, but I'm afraid this won't happen 100% of the time, maybe not even 80%... so an additional process for finding and correcting such incomplete entries would be highly recommended.
What I'd also (better?) like is to create a contact and link it to an account or create a new account, as appropriate, in a single shot, similar as a lead is converted into a contact.

    George
