Hello from new User - Loclyn

Hi all, my name is Loclyn, just saying hello to the community and of course giving some praise for the SugarCRM system.

I found Sugar CRM on the web, when I was looking for a CRM solution for my work. (I guess thats a common reason)
We are a small business that runs 2 internal staff a manager and one outbound business consultant. (Me) SugarCRM fits our business model perfectly.

So the big question is how can I help this community?
I'm not programmer or developer and of course not that financially viable to start donating money. (although that would be a nice thing to do)
However, I do have extensive IT hardware/software experience in deploying webservers on linux boxes and unfortunately (lol) windows boxes. So please feel free to ask me for help in those areas or if I see your questions on this forum I'll try to asisit where can.

Anyway, hello to all, thumbs up for the SugarCRM team and I'll be seeing you on this forum.

Hi Loclyn and welcome to the community.

Your approach on 'giving back' is just fine - step in when you have had an experience/issue that might be relevant to someone else. I recently ran into a BIG headache with the 4.0.1 upgrade and once it was solved I wrote up what had happened and went back through the last 3 weeks posts to see whether anyone else was having similar issues, if so, I directed them to my post.

SugarCRM is a great product but sometimes the pace of change introduces some unwelcome side-effects and the community experience is often the best way to get help by pooling resources.
