    Question Help :)

    Dear All,

I am setting up a small sales team with Sugar5.2 I have no open source training so have to use my bare hands. My problem is that my sales people can access all the data on the site, including contacts, and accounts, etc. of other salespeople. How can this be? Can anyone help me to code something in that makes non-admin users able to access/modify/see only those contacts, accounts, and activities, opportunities, etc that are assigned to the specific users????

A million thanks for holding this novice's hand, hoping to build some callouses...

    Ryan

In this case, I am working with non-admin sales guys, and they still have full rights it appears. When I edit their profiles under the User list, I cannot modify the section where sugar shows their access to delete, create, import, etc. When I edit the profile, this section dissapears!

Thank you for any insight on this topic

    Hi rkmerrill05.

If you can access admin and roles page, you can access and change roles.

After you create a new role the system redirect you to the page with access/edit/detele... of this role. In this page you can make changes for any module, clinking 2 times on the column of the role and line of the module.

    Did you alredy tried this?

    Hi Ryan,

check the user guide on how to set up roles and attach a user to the roles. You can also look here for more information. You will want to make sure that your users do not have admin rights. An admin user assigned to a role is not bound by the role restrictions.
