Default Hide accounts so only respective salesperson can see, not shown to everybody

    Sugar on CentOS Linux
    Sugar Suite version 3.5.1
    Webserver- I don't know
    PHP version- I don't know
    MySQL version- I don't know

Is there a way to show accounts only to those sales person assigned to that account? Or just to those who created them, and not show it to everybody else on the sales team? I'm worried that if one sales person decides to leave the company, he might be able to print out the whole list, or bring the whole list with him.

You can do this with roles. Create a role of sales person and then change the ability to read entries only to owner.

    Hello wjohnson,

Your answer about jang's question interest me because I want to do the same thing. Can you explain in concrete terms how we must do it??

    Thank you,

I believe there's actually a couple of ways to do it, but the method described by wjohnson is the easiet. Log in as an Admin, go to the Admin Tab, Select Role Management, Create New Role and under the columns "List" and "View" select Owner as the value for whatever you want to restrict, i.e, Accounts, Contacts, Leads, etc...
