Hosting change to SAFE MODE ON... will SugarCRm works?

My hosting provider has announce me that SAFE MODE OFF will change to SAFE MODE ON.

how does this change affect my sugarcrm operations?
does the operation of sugarcrm will stop? some modules?
nothing at all !!

I had the same issue with my host (Lycos) and as far as I am aware sugar doesnt like safe mode being on at all.

You certainly cannot install with safe mode on cause the installer stops you,

I did put a post up here myself and the feedback was the same and some suggested alternative hosts were given (do a search for my posts and you will find it).
