How can I enable line breaks in the "View notes summary" section of the history notes?

How can I enable line breaks in the "View notes summary" section of the history notes?

What I mean is that the lines of each note are jammed together.

Is there any way to preserve the line breaks?

you mean the DetailView action under Note module? if this is what you mean, this should be built-in? you can look at the DetailView.php under Note module, there is a function called nl2br() to convert hard return to html line break.
