How complete is the SC.com importation?

I have read many topics upon importing from Salesforce, but my question is not related to how as most others are. Rather, how complete is the importation currently?

I am in charge of evaluating and in the end handling the data import, but right now I am unsure if Sugar can handle a full import. We have both Sugar and SC currently, and are looking to switch fully to SugarCRM. However after reading around it looks like 4.5 has the import/export features I may need to do a full transfer. If it will take days or lots of manual integration then the transfer is not worth it.

So to repeat myself, how much will 4.5 (the future stable version) be capable of importing from Salesforce.com?

Must I state my credentials, life story and server build to get attention? I have a question and it's important, and unanswered over 3 days. Someone answer my question please.

And why do I get the impression that asking this again is futile?


I am an intern working with for a startup company and am evaluating the usefulness of migrating some of our sales staff to SugarCRM. We have an in house server running SugarCRM for other reasons, and accounts with Salesforce. But neither I nor my superior want to transfer the staff if the data importation is incomplete, and/or tedious. I am actually assisting in the development of our product, and juggling this for another employee within the company. I don't have time to waste on importing and manually rebuilding data; I don't have time to write a script to translate it, because I'm already busy preparing for GA.

How complete is the current importation feature from Salesforce!?

Needless to say I'm a little ticked that I cannot get a response. Lose me now; lose me for a very long time down the road.
