Default How do i add the Case id to alert emails during workflow??

    Hi All,

I'm trying to set up escalation rules for the Cases module. If a CASE status has not been changed for 8 hours i want to fire off an automated email to the person the case is assigned to. I'm still testing this out.. So far i haven't gotten the outbound email to fire off with the "After Time Elapes" rule. I can however get workflow email to send with the "When record Saved" rule is selected. Anyone know if there is a specific cron job i need for this? I thought i had all the proper cron jobs setup already.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO PUT THE CASE ID IN THE WORKFLOW EMAIL SUBJECT?? Is there a variable i can use to do this. Right now the email alerts seem to be hard coded and not sure how to dynamically put the relevant case in the alert.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Can you double-check and make sure that your Scheduler is running job of type "processWorkflow"? That's the job that picks up time-based workflow triggers.

Getting the case ID as the subject is something i *think* you can do with WF. The field in the Emails module you want to target is "Name".
