How Do Leads Get Into Sugar?

Hello,

I'm trying out SugarCRM for a car sales websites. I was looking for a way to manage leads from the website. I'm very new to Sugar, so I may be mistaken, but it appears that I will have to input the leads manually. Is there a way for the information in an html contact form on the website to enter data directly into Sugar. This seams like an obvious feature, but I've not seen it yet.

It seams that if the website can't pump leads and other info directly into Sugar, than Sugar is little more than a large address book. I get the feeling that this is the case.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. If there is a manual that explains this sort of thing, please send me a link.

One way you ca do is : Have the webpage collect informatio from the user and stream the data to the sugar via the soap api. This is the easiest way to collect leads and their information.
