Default How to make sales follow up the right way

    Hello,

I am trying to get an overview of SugarCRM - Open Source for a start.

We need the ability to follow up on sales - how should we use SugarCRM to do that?

I have looked at the opportunity-function. But I am not sure it will do the trick.

We basically need a place to put the opportunity, with:
    1 contact
    1b our salesman
2 what the offer was (for example 4 units of x special made with y)
    3 notes
4 when to contact next time

And then some kind of calender functionality - so that the most urgent follow ups easily can be found by the sales men or the backup people (who sometimes do follow up).

Is this possible? Or should we use another system?

Sales Force Automation (which is what you're talking about) is bread and butter to SugarCRM. It does it very well.

Your starting point ought to be the documentation ... read it ... in there you'll find out all about opportunities and calendars and scheduling activities such as follow ups.
