How to Remove Relationships

I am a new Sugar user and having some trouble modifying some functions.

System Info:
Version 5.1.0RC (Build 4469)
Linux CentOS, PHP Version 5.2.6
Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/5.2.6

Objective:
I am trying to remove relationships of Accounts with Opportunities. When I am converting a lead it does the following.
1. It creates a contact/customer - Great.
2. I can create an Opportunity directly form this screen. - Great.
3. It request that I need to Relate an Account or Create an Account. NOT GOOD

Issue:
My client services individual customers only. The only Account relationship we have is companies who are partners or affiliates who send us referrals. We will be assigning an account in this case to track which Account this customer is from.
Otherwise no Account is required for Contacts or converted leads.

How do I remove the relationship so it can stop requiring an Account upon Converting the Lead.
It should allow me to Select an Account if I want to but not require it.
If no Account is Selected than Opportunity should be related to the new contact it is going to create.

Error Message: Creating an Opportunity requires and account. Please create or use an existing one.

This issue has been brought up numerous times on the forum. Sugar is very B2B oriented. Removing the account-opportunity relationship is pretty involved. Do a search on B2C or something similar on the forum to get some ideas.
