How to send an email (campaign) to all the marketing managers?

Hi,
I'm using SugarCRM 4.0.1 (OSS version), and would like to know
how can I send an email to all the marketing managers of a particular category of Account in my DB.

To be more clear this is what I've done:

Added a field called category in Accounts, (not the one yet existent but an other one for full text search), I already have the" title" label and field, so no problem.

The problem is that in campaign I cannot do that kind of search, so guess I have to create
an opportunity before, but in opportunity too, when I try to search for an account the only search
options I have are account name, city and phone. I need to add the field category to that search form...how can I do this?

Hi gabriele,

I did a module so that you can mass email Accounts in ProspectList (campaign). For your problem, I think you have to do a search in the Account popup. In order to do that, you need to modify the popup box. First, go to Accounts/popup_picker.html to add in the field you want to display in the Acocunts popup. Then, go to Accounts/metadata/popupdefs and modify the arrays to include the fields you want to search on. After that you can go in ProspectList, do a search in Accounts popup and add the results to ProspectList so you can mass email them.

You can take my zip file and modify it and install it as a module. Goodluck.
