Default How to structure and use SugarCRM for a Poker Manager?

I am helping out a poker manager with SugarCRM, and it is quite clear to me, that he should have great use for a CRM like SugarCRM.
His tasks would be for instance
    - Acquiring and managing affilliates
    - Setting up campaigns aimed at the customers (players)
    - Forming and nurturing strategic alliances
    - Communication with vendors
    - Staff management etc.

But how does all this fit in to SugarCRMs leads, contacts, accounts, campaigns etc.?

How would (should) he in practical terms use SugarCRM in his job?

    Hi Erik,

He can definitely use Sugar to manage all of this.

You can make use of the Leads module to handle all potential customers and vendors. You can create a type field to help you denote whether the lead is a potential customer or vendor. When you have achieved more communication with them and and opportunity is ready to be created, or if they sign up, then you can convert them into a Contact and Account. The Contact and Account modules can also have type fields to help you denote their type (customer, vendor etc), as well as status.

You can make use of the Activities to help track any calls, meetings, and notes that you have had with that person.

You can use the campaigns module to send out email campaigns to all potential leads, or to actual contacts. If you have not already, you can check out the Sugar user guide

Depending on your exact business process and business case, the system can be customized to fit your exact need. We would need to know more details to give you more specifics.
