I am wondering if anyone has come across this issue and how htey might have solved it. What I need to do:
Our company has two business units using the same instance ofSugar. They both want to use the opportunity module in Sugar. However these different business units need to gather and display different information to thier end users. Lets say that the two BU's are inside and outside sales.
Inside sales needs to gather this informaiton:
Tax ID, Last years revenue, Number of employees - And the Tax ID field needs to be required for them to create an account
However the outside sales do not need any of these fields and would never get a Tax ID.
I cannot create two page layouts on the opportunity (like in SFDC)...so how do I solve this problem of two business units using the same instance of sugar? Any ideas? This seems to be a serious limitation of Sugar. Can i run two instances of sugar off of the same DB using the same tables?
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
