Hi,
I just copied the file to my root server file which is "public_html". I cannot even pull it up in my browser. I have set all permissions to writable, but no luck at all. What more can I do?

If you get really stuck you might consider running the appliance version under vmware

Hi, You can try a few things. First create a simple index.html file with some stuff in it and place it in the same directory. Check if you can visulize it. If you can, then there is a file rights rpoblem. Try chmod 777 just to make sure it all works and then do a fine change.
If you do not see the index.html file, you may have your web serer setup NOY to recognize subdirectories. That could be changed using a symolic link from pulic_html directly or if it has a /usr/share/xxxx.config files aiming at the /var/www/ directory.
What OS are you working on?
Hey, I appreciate all the advice. You guys are not going to believe what the problem was! It was an "Operator" problem....I was the "Operator"I had installed it into the wrong website root (I have 2). However I cannot seem to get the "Writable Modules and Sub-Directories" to be writable. I have spent 3 -4 hours going over each file to make sure that I have it in 777 permission, but I still get a "non-writable".
Also, the "Writable Session Save Path ()", says, its not a valid directory, and I don't know what that is, to fix.
Everything else is "Green"
Any Suggestions?
P.S. The OS System on my server is linux.

Try assign SugarSuite's directory to the server web user and then set the right permissions; for example, if the SugarSuite directory is srv/www/htdocs/SugarSuite and the server web user is wwwrun:
# chown -R wwwrun.root /srv/www/htdocs/SugarSuite
# chmod -R 0775 /srv/www/htdocs/SugarSuite

Okay I have gotten everything fixed except, I can't find any php.ini file. I don't have the same files and paths on my server, so can someone tell me where it might be?
php.ini should be at /etc/php.ini
But that is assuming you have access to /etc on your webserver. Not sure whether or not you do.
I have access to the /etc file, but it is php.ini is not in it. I have created a support ticket with my host company. Is there any other thing I can do? Should I create one and upload it to the server? If so, where would I get a php.ini file to upload?
