Question I need to create Reports

I am new to using the Sugar OS. I am setting up the users and information for a small business I am working for. I need to be able to create reports, do mail merge, and create labels. If anyone can help me with the function I would appreciate it.

Zucker has a basic free reporting tool calle ZuckerReports. I think yu can find a mail merge module as well at sugarforge. But in my opinion, if your wanting good reports, your going to have to pay for it.

    Hi,

If you need more information on the mail merge , reporting and other capabilities in PRO and ENT versions , please check the products page at SugarCRM.com ( http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/products/crm-products.html ) or contact sales@sugarcrm.com.

    Thanks

Red face Re: I need to create Reports

I went to Rucker and could not find where to download the reports. I appeciate your help. They type of reports I would like to see is "how many outbound calls were made each day by each user". Are those available somewhere?

This is a feature we do have in Info At Hand - you might want to have a look. http://www.thelongreach.com/demos.html.

I went to their web site and looked at the demo. The reporting built in is indeed very nice. I like it a lot. and there have been a few tweaks to the UI that are nice too. Problem is, I can't get it running on my server (I'm sure it's a PHP/MySQL version issue).

My question is, what with Sugar being the "core", why can't somebody take the reporting modules of v t i g e r (which are OS) and incorporate it into Sugar?

Good idea - at least they could see the flow and just change a few things! Anyone there can do this? will even pay for some of it!

The architectures of both software trees have evolved significantly since their common heritage - it would be a lot of work to adapt their reports to the current Sugar architecture. Likely easier and better to start from scratch.
