    Default Import emails

    Hello,

Is there some way to import emails to SugarCRM?
I have it in Goldmine. I can export it to XML or to any other format.
    But how to import it?

It is possible to do, but you'll need to massage the data a bit as the manner in which GM stores it is quite a bit different than how Sugar stores it.

In short, you'll need to parse the message to extract the different values, such as sender, etc. into separate columns/fields before importing it.

    Thank you for your answer.

I've test Sugar Professional on-demand. Is there some tool to import such kind of emails? (I mean emails converted to csv or any other format)

There isn't a facility within Sugar and I am not aware of any third party tools for that specific task. However, you could use something like phpMyAdmin or SQLyog to do the import. You might also want to look at Jitterbit.

In short, there is not simple process to perform the task. It will require a little bit of work.

Save your self the headache and don't bother pulling anything out of goldmine except the Contacts and Account... That in its self takes more work than it should.

From what I have experienced these are your options:
    a) Pay $4,000 and have SugarCRM do it for you
    b) have a SugarCRM consultant do it for you
    c) ice goldmine and start fresh. Keep goldmine around for historical purposes of reference.
