    Default Importing from Salesnet

I'm trying to find a way to import the information I have in Salesnet to SugarCRM. Salesnet is a similar CRM to Salesforce. the url for salesnet is salesnet.com.

For example, in Salesnet I can export to a csv file all the contacts and to another csv file all the accounts. I can import these files to SugarCRM but how can I link them together with all the associations?

What will be the steps to accomplish this migration?

Import the Accounts first, then Contacts - they will automatically become related.

Thanks for the reply. I did and they are now related but I have only one issue.

The CSV I imported have other fields that are not in the contacts or accounts tables.

For example, in Salesnet I had the ability to create new fields in the system like Notes, Lead Source, Create Date's Fisc Yr+Month, Create Date's Fisc Yr+Qtr etc, etc.

The fields in the tables contacts or accounts dont have these fields. How can I create those in SugarCRM so when I do the import I can map all the fields from my CSV file.

    Thanks in advanced.
