Importing Users, Cases, Projects

Would someone please direct me on where I can learn how to import users, projects, tasks, calls, notes, emails, campains, leads, opportunities and bug tracker from sugar 4.5.0 to sugar 5.0.1?

I've looked through the wiki and forums and can't find any answers yet.

Are you trying to move the data to a different install? Or is there another reason why you don't just upgrade 4.5 to 5.0 instead and eliminate the hassle of moving the data?

There aren't import facilities for every bit of data that can be stored in Sugar, which leaves you with the option of doing the transfer via a MySQL admin utility such as phpMyAdmin or SQLyog.

Hey Angel,

I would love to be able to simply upgrade from the sugar version which we've been using for over a year (4.5.0g) but when we did an upgrade using the upgrade wizard to 4.5.1 (to eventually upgrade to 5.0.x) we had some strange merge file manifest of over 100 files. I spent over 4 hours comparing about 30 files using winmerge only to discover that all the 30 files I compared were exactly the same. I couldn't justify spending another 8 hours going through the merge process again because it was wasting too much time. I believe the problem is due to some custom fields in the Case edit view.

God I wish I could just pay someone to do this. Lol.

So much time wasted! Today I've installed sugar on a local machine and basically testing all possible combinations of upgrading the existing version to the latest version.
