    Default Inbound Email not working

I set everything up properly. Hit the 'test settings' button. it seemed to work, and see INBOX. I sent a few test emails to the email box and sugar is not getting them. Can anyone help me out?

    Cheers!

    Hi Patrick,

Take a quick read through the FAQs I setup in the Help forums (they are stickied at the top).

If you can't find the solution for a given problem in there, then I'm happy to help you out.

Ya, I read through the docs and faqs. Is it possible that i'm having server problems?

Like i said, it sees my IMAP folder's when i hit 'test settings' but it doesn't grab any of the email from the account.

    Hi,

    1. Make sure that in Email Handling Options you have selected "Bounce Handling" .
    2. Assign to Group - It should be either Group User Name or "Create Mailbox Group on Save". If you created a group user before creating the Inbound Email Settings then here in Drop Down you will see that group user name.
    3. From Address - Same as the Login User Name you have submitted in Basic Setup options of Inbound Email.
    4. Make sure that from Schedulers - Refresh Jobs and Check Inbound Emails are running properly. Whether these are running properly are not you can find out by clikngin on any of the Schedulers - like "Check Inbound Emails" and see the last run value. If the last run value is with in the time frame of the scheduler then your setup is ok. that menas for example you are running Check inbound Emails for every 10 mins once. the Last run shold show with in Last 19 mins some time.

If all these are ok then give me more details on your setup then i may help you ???

    Ravindra,

Thanks, it's now working properly! I have one more question...

Is it possible to assign emails to users without them going into the "group inbox", as having to assign emails to individual users could be a pain...

    cheers,

    tim

    Hi,

    1. Individual Mail Boxes: In SugarCRM 4.0.0 OS version there is no such facility. hopefully we may get it in new version which is expected in mid of next week. But I am not sure whether it is added in 4.0.1 or not. so let us wait and see for it.

    2. Cronjob: If you are using windows then you are supposed to use a batch file and then run this batch file as a scheduled task. I have written a detailed sugarCRM 4.0.0 OS version installation and configuration details in a sepearate post called Idiot's Guide for SugarCRM 4.0.0 Installation and Idiots Guide for SugarCRM 4.0.0 Configuration. Have a look into it then you can do all the activites easily.

What about a check mail button on the top of the pannel for the inbox? That way a check for a individuals inbox imported without a cronjob or when a user is useing the email module during a session the checks could be preformed on a interval set in the user profile. Just an Idea.
