Inbound mail: i have a warning of IMAP mail when i have POP3!! :(

I am trying to set up:
Inbound Email
Manage Mailboxes Setup mailboxes to be monitored for inbound email.

when i configure all the settings of my pop3 account this message appears:

IMAP Warning
Warnings: This system does not have the IMAP c-client libraries enabled/compiled into the PHP module (--with-imap=/path/to/imap_c-client_library). Please contact your administrator to resolve this issue.

The problem is that i installed in a hosting that I monthly pay so i am not able to access any file first of all but also i dont have any IMAP mail!

IMAP libraries are used by PHP to access email account, regardless of which protocol you want to use. If your host is unable to supply a new PHP compilation, then you have two choices:
1. find a new host that has/or will recompile PHP for you
2. use Sugar without Inbound Email.

I'm sorry, but there is no current way to do this otherwise.

fyi - we are evaluating using the CRM software for www.idealist.org non profit NGO. I discovered the tool last week and i was totally delighted by the functionality.

Even we are an NGO a lot of it really helps to follow up everything.

Dear Sir,

I have faced same problem. And I got the solution.

Please enable php_imap.dll in php.ini file and restart the server. (We have dedicated server). For guys working on shared server, you can request your hosting company to do it for you. Maybe they will oblige.

With this method I could successfully configure the inbound mail account.
