Default Incoming Email - Workflow flawed

I'm not sure who designed the default workflow behind the incoming email system, but it needs some work.

We have an Group Email box which is monitored and all of the incoming emails can be made into cases, leads, etc. When an email arrives if I mistakenly click "Quick create case", then click cancel, I'm sent to the "Compose Email" page (I'm not sure why?), If I then click cancel again I end up at the users home page. If I then go back to the Email tab the mail has been moved from the group mailbox to the users personal mailbox.

Surely if I click cancel I should be taken back to the group mailbox with the EMail left where it was.

Has anyone else spotted some whackyness like this?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

When the user clicks quick create we move the email from the group inbox to users inbox. The assigned to field is set as the users ID. The reason for doing this is to provide ownership for that object. The cancel action should however take you back to the email list screen. We will work on fixing these issues based on the feedback.

    Thanks
    Manoj
