yes, check the download section and use the Spike installer. It'll install Apache, mysql, php and set every up for you.
The Bitrock linux installer??Originally Posted by y2chuck
Can you give me any more info, is this safe to install Apache, PHP etc on a Windows XP home SP2 machine? Will there likely be any conflicts?
Many thanks
nothings safe on a Microsoft Windows machine, Linux is your best bet, However if Windows is for you then rest assured it will work on a Windows XP box. (I'm more of a linux person anyway but have been exposed to Windows webservers in the past)
You can either use Microsofts webserver IIS or Apache.
Apache is recommened.
You dont really need to know much about Apache or MYSQL providing you use a installer that just automatically sets everything up.
try Xammp

Is this the way people use it though, on a internal PC, or do people run it generally online?
Is this secure, having all your clients and contacts on the Internet?
A large number run the server on a local LAN/Intranet and users access this internally or over VPNs
