Install problem

When I try to install, I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_a() in e:\crm\log4php\config\LoggerPropertySetter.php on line 108

It's the first step and I simply cannot go next

Thanks. I came to realize it is probably due to my php version. Mine is 4.1.2.

I just downloaded SugarCRM 3.0c version and the setep wizard told me PHP Version 4.2.x or newer Invalid version (4.1.2) Installed . I think my previos downloaded version, SugarCRM 4.2, shall require higer php version, and that's maybe the reason.

Yes, I believe so too.
It is likely that the is_a() function is not included in PHP 4.1.x or earlier. Upgrading it to 4.2.x will solve the problem.
