Installing a Json module on Centos- Instructions

Just thought I'd pass on this link which helped me install a JSON module on my Cent0s 4.3 machine. Note: Sugar currently only support JSON 1.1.0 so just change the 1.2.0 to 1.1.0 in the the example.

and one more thing, make sure you have gcc (yum install gcc) and php-devl (yum install php-devl)

What does it happen if I install Json once Sugar has been installed?

Will I need to do something else to take advantage of it?
