I'm currently researching sugarcrm, and wondered how complicated it would be to add the ability to view external data related to each company/account in the database.

The information is historical advertising spend amounts for the previous quarters. The data is also categorised so there will be quite a bit of information for each company so additional fields wouldn't really do the trick.

For instance for Company X it records that it spent:

Q4 - 2006
Total spend - $1,000,000
Tv spend - $750,000
Radio spend - $125,000
Print spend - $125,000

Q3 - 2006
Total spend - $900,000
Tv spend - $650,000
Radio spend - $125,000
Print spend - $125,000

...

do any of you have any suggestions on the best way to go about having this data displayed on the account information page?

We can get the data into to any kind of structure really - so the important thing is how best to do it in sugarcrm.
