    Default International Partition

We are currently looking at deploying SugarCRM across our group which has subsidiaries in about seven countries. Would it be possible to set up a single installation of SugarCRM, that can be used by all subsidiaries, where each country/subsidiary is partitioned away from the other subsidiaries? Or is the only way of achieving this to have separate installations of SugarCRM deployed?

It is possible to do it with a single install, but you should seriously take a look at using the Pro or Enterprise version. The primary reason is that you would need to use the Teams functionality to accomplish the task. While the Open Source version has an Teams module you can install for free, the Pro and Enterprise's iteration of it is more comprehensive.
