I have downloaded and installed SugarCRM CE just yesterday. I was looking through the product and could not find an invoicing function. I was using Quickbooks all along to create an estimate/quote then flip it right to an invoice. I do see there is a function in Sugar to change the Sales Stage to Proposal/Price Quote. But nothing changes on the screen. I cannot create line items like in a regular proposal or invoice. I run a service oriented business that involves consulting work and descriptions to be included as well as parts and materials. I cannot tell if there is any invoice function in sugar or what it could look like. I did some digging on SugarForge to see if I can find an add on but did not want to start playing with anything as of yet because I would expect this product to already have it.
I did some searches on the forums but was coming up with the idea that CE (free edition) does not have this functionality.
Lastly.. I would like to know about being able to insert credit cards to charge clients. i do this in Quickbooks. So if i have to buy a version of Sugar that can do the invoicing and estimating that Quickbooks can do as well as allow me to charge credit cards like I do with Quickbooks I will not spend money on a new copy of Quickbooks. i was hoping to have everything integrated into one solution. Hence my idea to use Sugar.
Rob.
