Joomla CB users -> Sugar community users

We want the ability to synchronize automatically between Joomla (ver 1.5) account creation with Sugar (ver 5.5) user creation.

Scenario: A new user registers in our Joomla (only our distributors can do this) frontend and automatically a user account is created for them in Sugar (community edition) as well.

Once the user logs into Joomla, that login automatically logs them into Sugar as well, therefore, when they are logged into the Joomla site and click on their BackOffice (their dashboard in Sugar), they can begin working. They should not need to log in twice (once for Joomla, again for Sugar).

Can this be done?

Note: Joomla and Sugar are on webserver and both accessable on same website...
