Language install

Hi,

Trying to install english into Sugar 4. getting....

Could not copy file cache/upload/upgrades/temp/kqnm3B/./en_gb-dictionary.lang.txt to /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.co.uk/httpdocs/./en_gb-dictionary.lang.txt

I'm assuming this is a permissions problem but is it asking for permissions to be chamged in the root?

Hi,

I'm the author of the British language pack.

The language pack should not be attempting to install any files outside of the SugarCRM base directory.

What is SugarCRM base directory off your root directory /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.co.uk/httpdocs ?

Can you successfully install any other language pack?

Hi,
I am trying to install this pack and having problems. I tried to follow the instructions but there seems to be some steps missing or I am missing the point.
1. I downloaded the file en_gb-v0.4.5-sugarcrm-v4.2.0d-langpack.zip from sugarforge.
2. I unzipped this file onto the remote Sugar server.
3. I access the Module Loader from admin and I am prompted: Your PHP configuration must be changed to allow files of at least 6MB to be uploaded. Please modify the upload_max_filesize value in your php.ini located at: /private/etc/php.ini
4. I then accessed this file and changed the upload_max_filesize to 7M - At this point I had some error '.....error occurred hile setting permissions or timestamp' but it appears to have changed it OK. I suspect this is nothing to do with Sugar just how I am accessing the file remotely via Winscp?
5. I go back to the admin home page and select Module Loader and still the error seen in 3 above appears!
6. I then browse for 'the file' as stated in the instructions - the instructions are not clear about what file I should be browsing for. The file sugarcrm-en_gb.sh is mentioned earlier in the instructions so I browse for this. The browse window opens to my local machine and not the Sugar server wihich is remote so at this point I am suspicious something aint right.

Undeterred I select sugarcrm-en_gb.sh (on my local machine) and click on Upload and I get the error ;Error: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature'

Any ideas appreciated. Are there any clearer instructions available anywhere?

Hi,

I am sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately, I don't have an solution to your problem at the moment. Our group is still using v3.5.1 as we are concentrating on stability. We are planning to upgrade to v4.2 over the next few weeks.

I understand that several other members have taken over the maintenence of the British language pack. I hope others may help you.

In the meantime, I need to get reacquainted with the v4.2+ tree and British language pack. I hope to help you in the future.
