Hi all,

I am new to sugarCRM and am enjoying it quite a bit. I think it's a great tool, however am a little lost on how to effectively incorporate it in my company. I sell companies so I only work on a few big projects a year. So what I thought was I would put the company as a opportunity and then the people I am contacting in regards to the company as a lead. The problem that comes up with this approach is that each lead can only have one status associated with it. What if I am in talks with one lead in regards to two different companies the leads need to be able to have two different statuses. I was able to get the leads to appear in both companies using a many-to-many relationship, but when the status of the lead is changed in one of the companies it is associated with it also changes on the other. Any help on how I can solve this issue will be greatly appreciated. The status field also needs to be search able from the leads tab.
