    Default Leads Sales tied to Opportuntiy

    I'm slowly learning Sugar and am impressed by what it does. I have a question about how leads are associated to opportunities.

    In an opportunity I set an amount, say $25,000.
    I create leads from the opportunity... each lead will be responsbile for contributing to the $25,000.
    How to I add a sales amount to the lead that will be associated to the amount in the opportunity?

    So if a lead has a sale of $5,000, it will show that 20% of the $25,000 Opportunity amount is in.

    Can this be done without additional programming?

    We're using CE right now, but will use professional once I have a better understanding of Sugar.

    AFAIK Sugar does not work in this way.

    A lead (in the Leads Module) is actually a type of record of an individual. A value only gets attached when this individual has a requirement for work, at this point you need to create an opportunity.

    You can create, or select leads within an Opportunity, but they still would have zero value.

    You could add a value field to the lead record, from within Studio, but creating a lik to the Opportunity value and weighting against it would require some customer coding.

    I've done a little studying since the post and understand the differences between Leads > Contacts and Opps. It makes sense now.
