Just curious if there's a limit? We use Salesforce right now so there's no Targets module just Leads and Contacts. I can't remember the exact amount it was based on storage, like you get 1GB allowed for Leads or something like that.
The reason I ask is because I have a database of all Canadian businesses, there's 920,000 on the list. I can filter that down to areas we sell to and maybe make it 500-600k. Right now I have them in Excel or FileMaker so if I want to target a certain city for a campaign, in Salesforce I just filter in excel then upload that list with a new code on it.
Was just thinking with Targets it would be nice if I was able to have ALL these loaded in, and then run all my reports right from within Sugar. So make a target list for Calgary with 10-19 employees in a certain postal code for example then assign it to a rep to cold call. That way the history is all kept in Salesforce, so if in the future we want to cold call them again but for another product etc, we can see the history. (we sell for a few different companies).
Just wondering if there's a limit, and if there isn't a limit, if that's a bad idea to have that many targets, like if that would slow the system down. If it is a bad idea, then what would the maximum number of targets be that someone would load in, as I can definitely shrink that list down if need be. Thanks everyone!
