First, check out sugarcrm.com to see an overview of the product. Watch and listen to the case studies (business scenarios) to get an understanding of the capabilities of the product.

Next, look at SugarForge.org and SugarExchange.com to see the list of product extensions, language packs, themes, and other add-ons available to Sugar users.

Finally, do a google search comparing Sugar to different types of competitors (i.e.- hosted CRM, on-premise CRM, software for large enterprises and software for small companies, Open Source and commercial solutions). You'll find that just about every CRM company's website has a section on "why we're better/different than our competitors".
