Default Which Linux Distrib is supported ?

    Hi,

I'm a new user to SugarCRM which Community Edition looks great , and I have a couple of questions regarding the support of SugarCRM , in case of subscription with the Pro-Edition :

    • Is Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES the only Linux distribution supported , or would any other Linux be supported (Ubuntu, Debian, Suse, etc ...) ?

    • to respect the support contract, can I use MySQL 5.1 / MySQL Cluster 5.1 ?

    • to respect the support contract, can I use PHP 5.2.6 ?

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hi Steve

Any Linux distribution supports SugarCRM, and you can use the built in php/apache/mysql or compile and install it or install the ZendCore tool. Any choice should work properly.
The PHP 5.2 is supported by Sugar and it will be the minimum supported PHP for SugarCRM 6.0, to be released next year.
So fell free to choose your favorite distribution, choose your favorite lamp pack and enjoy SugarCRM.

    Cheers

    Hola André ,

Thanks for your reply, in fact of course Iam confident that SugarCRM would work properly on any Linux distrib, what I meant by the question is "Would the SugarCRM support accept to fix a bug in case I have a pro edition on a Debian for instance or would the support tell me sorry only Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES is supported in our contract" --> I would appreciate an answer from the Sugar team

    Thanks & regards,

    Steve

They are just fine with it. In fact I worked with one of their engineers who was using the same Ubuntu version as I.
