Lost the quick Create forms in left panels after upgrade

I'm fairly new with sugarCRM so bear with my noobiness please

So We had this version 5.4 which I upgraded with sucess (so I thought) we had left panels where user could in matter of seconds create contacts, account and opportunities.

We now have a 6.2 version, but we don't have the panels (well I think those are panels) with quick create forms anymore...

So I've been digging through the admin menu to see where I could "activate" the forms, went to the studio to see if I could do something.

Whatever change I do in the studio it doesn't seem to affect anything. So in a single question

"how do we 'activate' the quick create forms and I'm I wrong to think it this way (maybe I don't need to activate them I need to do something, somewhere else, because I don't understand the basic of sugarcrm)

The sidequickcreate panels were removed from the product in 6.0

Wow. Very odd to take that out as it was a really useful feature. Does anyone know of a work-around for quick entry?
