Thumbs down MAjor Flaw/Bug Still not Fixed - Exporting with IE Explorer

Look, if Sugar really wants it's partners to sale this as a viable alternative to Salesforce.com or Siebel and any other major CRM, it will have to make priority fixing SERIOUS flaws like the exporting bug with IE Explorer. This issue was reported over a week ago and should be a simple fix.

I cannot ask my customers to have all of their salespeople switch to Firefox because the software doesn’t work well with the most installed internet browser in the US.

Yeah, it's true that IE is the most used webbrowser - no wonder why, it comes with the Windows OS... But until version 7 will be officially available, it has a few disadvantages compared to Firefox: no tab browsing - a feature that helps sugarCRM users work simultaneously with different modules (like accounts, opportunities, quotes, etc) and apparently has more security issues than FF. I don't know yet how will be the upgrade from IE6 to IE7, but if it involves a similar effort as a fresh installation of FF, then Firefox may still have an advantage against IE.

I am not debating which Browser is better. I believe there are better products than MS for many functions. The point is in selling Sugar Professional to mass corporate America, support should be focused on IE above all else.

Again, when my customers compare Sugar to SF.com, or other CRMs I can’t say, "By the way, you need to have all of your sales and marketing team trash IE and install Firefox".
