merge community with pro edition - possible?

Is it possible to merge 2 different editions? (eg community edition with professional edition)
I know that the database and the code is different... Is it possible to install 2 different versions which work with the professional database?

We have lots of staff who wants to work with sugar, but not all of them need the professional edition.

Or is it possible to buy the pro edition for 5 users (5 x 360$ a year) and more users work with sugar? (eg about 40 people work with 5 sugar users)

Are there experiences with many users to reduce costs?

Hi Kevmaster,

That's not allowed per your Pro license agreement. I would work with your Sugar sales rep (or Sugar partner, if you purchased the software from a partner) to come up with some pricing options that will work for you.

• One is governed by restrictive licenses
• The other is governed by permissive licenses
