    Question Multi-Tenancy

    Greetings!

I was curious as to whether or not there were any plans to add Multi-Tenancy features to SugarCRM? There are many instances where this could be useful. The most obvious would be to an ISP who wants to host several clients without having to create several different databases.

Other possibilities include situations where several companies, perhaps all members of an association, were hosted in the same database so as to allow association-level reporting without having to query several different databases and then collate the data manually.

This has been a hot topic for MS-CRM, so I was wondering what the thoughts were about adding this to SugarCRM?

    TIA
    Rick

Hi Rick, we have done our own Multi-Tenancy. Pretty much everything except for the /cache folder and config.php file are symbolic links to a version of Sugar. Each client has their own If a client wants custom work done then they get their own /custom folder and files.
They usually get their own EditView and DetailView HTML files if they have custom work. Took a while to write the script but sets up in about 5 seconds.
