    Default Multiple Services Per Account

    Hello,

I am new to Sugar and was looking for some guidance. I am in the service based industry. Sugar seems to be geared more towards the product industry.

I am looking for a way to keep track of all the different services my clients subscribe to. For example ABC Company subscribes to Service1 Service2 and Service3. Each service would have its own stage of implemenation, configuration paramaters, and trouble tickets.

Is there a module like this already? Or can I easily build one myself? I want to use the community edition.

    Hello,

The system can definitely be customized to meet your needs using Sugar CE. What kind of services do you offer? Are the services always the same? What kind of information are you trying to track? Based on your business process, there are different ways this can be done -- either through creating a new module, or by re-purposing an existing one.

Intelestream has a lot of experience customizing SugarCRM, so if you would like to discuss this is more detail, please feel free to reach out to us.

    Thanks

I think Pro will meet most of your needs on this.

You can use contracts to track services. You might need to create some custom fields and adjust the layout in the studio
You can use projects to track where you are in the setup of a service with standard templates. I'm pretty sure tickets (Sugar Cases) can be tracked against projects

    Hope that helps

Thanks for the replies, and the offering of help, but I want to learn this by myself. I also want to stick to community edition for now.
I have a lot of experience setting up CRMs in MS Access. Now I figure, why reinvent the wheel?

I am in the merchant services industry. So each client I have will have services such as: credit card processing, check processing, ACH ...etc. Each service has a work flow like -> Application Sent -> Application Received -> Pending Approval -> Approved/Declined.

Also, each service will have its own equipment tied to it. And each service needs case tracking.

I have played around in module builder a little bit. I have made a services module that will display under accounts. I think my path lies in adding a subpanel to get cases for each service. Does that sound right?
