    Default My Upcoming Appointment question

I am at a loss about two details in the My Upcoming Appointments section.

There are 5 columns in the section:

Icon (if it is a phone call, appt, etc...)
    Close
    Subject
    Date
    Accept?

The two that I do not understand what the do or how to use them are:

Close: When you pres this, what the heck is it actually doing with in Sugar?? What am I closing, and what am I changing with in Sugar?

Accept?: There is a choice-accept, tentative or decline. What is this doing? What am I accepting or declining?

    Thanks for any help.

the 'close' icon is what you use to mark the meeting/call as having been completed (or deferred). when you click on it, it takes you to the edit screen, with the status pre-set to "Held" (you would obviously need to change that if it wasn't held and was instead deferred or rescheduled).

once you select save from this screen, you are returned back to the screen you came from. so, conceptually, once you complete a phone call (or as you come back from a meeting), you can click the close "x", hit save on the next screen, and you've now recorded in Sugar tht the meeting/call is over. it is important to note that if you don't hit save on the screen after hitting close, then nothing happens. this is just a shortcut to keep you from having to click on the details, select edit, change the status to Held, click save, be returned back to the details page, then navigate back to Home/My Appts.

as for the accept/decline -- that is so that users that have been invited to a meeting/phone call can indicate whether they will be attending. once you click on any of these, other users can see the status when they view the details for that meeting. the idea here would be that i can schedule a meeting with 5 people in the organization, and then see that 4 of the people invited are going to be there, but one can't make it.

    is that helpful?
