Thumbs down My Upcoming Appointments doesnīt work

In my home SugarCRM page appears all my calendar events. All of them, including the past ones.

I would like to see only my My Upcoming Appointments through today, tomorrow, this week, but what I see is all of them, even if I change to today, tomorrow or something else.

My home page is huge and I donīt have time to close each appointment. If I could close all at once, itīll be ok, but, I need to close one by one.

    How can I fix that?
    Thanks

I have a similar issue and posted after you because I didn't see this one. I hope someone will help. I need to keep the history though since the only method I see right now is deletion.

I would also be interested in learning how to (properly) use the calendar and activities features, especially when it comes to closing / completing an activity, delegating it to another user and asking/getting feedback on it.

I'm a newbie and I'm sure someone with more experience could've answered this and saved us all alot of time, however, since no one responded, I went about trying to solve the problem of too many "Upcoming Appointments" on my home page. I created a false Account and a couple of false Contacts under that account to experiment with. Then I made up appointments, tasks, projects etc. for the account. I found that when you click on the "close" box on the home page, or click on the appointment next to the "close" box, the item comes up. In that field you can "edit" it and change the "status" from "planned" to "held". Make sure the appointment is assigned to an accurate Account, and "save" the status change. It will then automatically appear as part of the history for that account or in the contact for whom the appointment was with. And it will also not show in the Upcoming Appointments on your home page and free up valuable space.
I found this is also true for many of the other fields for instance if you change a task from "started" to "completed" and save it, it too goes to the history of the account it's assigned to and off the task list.
I hope this works for you. You may want to try it on a fake account first to be sure. I wouldn't want to be responsible for messing up your system.
    Good Luck!

The question was not how to close appointments, but, rather, how to close more than appointment at a time. Here' how:
For example, if you want to update the status of all your "Held" meetings, go to "Home" & click on "Meetings".
On the Meetings page you'll see a list of all your meetings, past and future, with check boxes next to each one. Place a check in the boxes next to the entries you wish to update. Next, scroll to the bottom of the page. In the "Status" drop down box, choose "Held". Finally, Click on the "Update" button. Voila! Simple, eh? The same can be done for tasks, calls, etc.
