    Default Need a answer

This is the fourth same question in 3 section of sugarcrmforum and nobody answers to me. This is the first time I see that. I work often with open source tools and when I need help, I ALWAYS got a answer in the mailing list or forum. There's also a lack of documentation for developper's... Sure Sugar is really a good project but It's not really open source!!!!

My question was ("au cas où" if someone can answer me) :

How to use a web portal with sugar crm 4.5? Can I code one with SOAP?
All the research I've done talks only about Mambo 4.0.5 and Sugar 3.5.

Perhaps, if I've got no answers it's because my english is too bad.

    Have a nice day

I'm french... I will answer in french ;-)

(SugarCRM has an OpenSource and commercial version. They have a good support but I think they would like to push the commercial version...)

I'm not programmer, so I can not answer for the very technical part, sorry. There is a french forum here... we could continue there if you want.

    Hi,

You can create a web portal using any CMS application and the SOAP API's in sugar will enable you to communicate with core Sugar. Mambo and Joomla projects are available on the Forge. In 4.5 we will ship a light framework in PRO and ENT versions and this will expose the case portal. We have larger plans around this in the future releases.

    Thanks
    Manoj

Ok, I will try Joomla and why not integrate the framework in the open source version. And why in the administrator's documentation, there is nothing about the portal whereas there is options about it?

[EDIT] It doesn't work with Joomla 1.0 and the latest version of SugarCRM [/EDIT]
    Thanks

... SugarCRM is a good product, people are serious but I'm agree with you, they will have better opportunities if they change their mind and their commercial views, but here is america... we think "money" !
