Need solution for remote collaboration, etc

All the features of SugarCRM CE will work perfect for one of my companies, but we also need the outlook sync option. BUT, i just cant justify paying $30 per month per employee (we only have 6) for the Pro version just to get that app, so unfortunately were going to have to get that from a third party (suggestions?). I could justify $10-$15, but thats about it, just to many other expenses per employee that really add up these days.

We have ALOT of documents that we all need access to as well, but we need to be able to restrict who gets access to what as well, but at the same time, make sure its not cumbersome to get to files, etc. Was originally thinking of just using ftps and assigning permissions per folder and while that would be great, i cant find a cost affective app that maps an ftps folder to a drive letter (suggestions?). Or does someone really find managing/using documents within Sugar to work that well? Im thinking that its better to use something thats tied into Sugar so that staff members can "checkout/checkin" files so they dont have to worry about overwriting other peoples work, etc.

I would also like an plugin/module for basically an internal wiki (though i personally hate wiki formatting) that can be used documenting different processes, terms, promotions, etc, that staff members can search, edit, etc.

While I am here, is anyone using an asterisk plugin to easily call clients through their asterisk script (click to call), but also have their "account" come up when they receive a call from the customer?

I havent looked much yet, but I am hoping their are some tips/strategies for speeding up Sugar for remote users, etc. Would be awesome if they integrated it with Gears.

Your help and ideas are extremely appreciated.

For the wiki portion I highly recommend Confluence which has a very low cost for individuals or small companies.
