New custom fields don't show up

In Admin.Studio>Accounts>Fields I made a whole bunch of custom fields/dropdowns. In the layouts area I assigned them to the desired place. I clicked "Save/Deploy" and went to the Accounts module only to find they are not there. Where did I go wrong?
