    Default new linux install

I'm trying to install the most streamlined fastest version of SugarCRM on a PC. I have a Core Duo 2 with 3Gb Ram. I tried installing openSUSE, then Sugar CRM. It works but still seams pretty slow.
I don't know anything about Linux or MySQL, so am looking for the simplest solution.

I saw something under downloads called rPath, with Linux and Sugar all in one. I burned the CD but it does not boot.

Does anyone have an idea for the best complete solution, stating from scratch.

    thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris

    Some questions.

    Is https configured?
how much memory is allocated to php into php.ini
Are SugarCRM and database installed into same machine?
    Does the machine has proxy?
Does the machine has internet connection?
How much memory is available into server?
How many other processes are running into same machine under which SugarCRM is installed?

    Hi andopes,

I'm trying to do a completely fresh install on a new server. Completely formatted, so there is no OS or anything on the server. It is a Core 2 Duo with 3Gb Ram.
I can set it up however it is required for the fastest solution. The only thing it will be doing is running SugarCRM, nothing else.

It does have a high speed Cable internet connection but is mostly used internally on the local network.

My understanding was that rPath is a complete solution with Linux but it does not boot from the CD, How do I do the install. Is there another install.
