New mobile option for SugarCRM

We just released our open source free mobile client on SourceForge. I thought I'd share it here. This is a simple directory copy to your existing SugarCRM server then access it from your Android, Blackberry OS6, iPhone, iPad, Palm Pre device. Currently it's read-only but that's simply because we wanted to get something out there for people as soon as possible.

Bear in mind this is an Alpha release, and it is using an Alpha version of the jquerymobile framework, so as that project continues to get better so will this project.

It can be run in full screen mode on the iPhone by simply adding it to the home screen however be aware that switching back to the app in this manor will always cause it to go back to the home screen. So be sure to take a look here http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/ce-mobile-crm/

This is a 0 postback application, so after your mobile device accesses the site, you will see that it does not have to round trip to the server. Paging through records is done via AJAX calls to the REST API.

We've made it to an Alpha 2 release, and below is the changelog. The file has been updated in the SourceForge project. Also we are looking for feedback so please file any bugs, and features requests through SourceForge.

--- Application re-factored for better performance and to incorporate

--- List Views now remember where you were in the list and takes you back
to this location until the
application is closed or refreshed.
