Default New module - link to email

I have used the module builder in 5.0a to create the simplest of modules - a personal contact list - using just the person as the module type. I have used Roles to define this module to owner use only. This seems to work by limiting access to all but the administrators, but I cannot see these contacts in the AJAX email client, and they do not come up in the searches.

Does this mean that the default is not to link all email addresses to the email area, or do I need to delve into the code (not my field) to resolve this missing link.

I think to less information for such a complex question.
How exactly did you implement your module?
Do you have CE, PRO or ENT ?
Perhaps you want to post your zip-package?

I am using Sugar Open Source

I created the module by purely going into the module builder, creating a new module using the person template and deployed it.

The module has no relationships set up, but I cannot find any relationship to link to email anyway. There is no need to link with other modules as this was purely to be a store for personal contacts that can be viewed and used purely by the owner. I was not intending to try it with the ability to link or convert into any other main modules.

I have even kept all the default layouts to ensure that I don't disable something that should work out of the box.

I have attached anyway, if it is of help, but I have not edited anything in the module.

    Thankyou for the quick reply.

i have been digging deeper, and trying to trace back the method for the list selection, and I think I may have found the source of the difficulty. popup_picker.php in the email module specifically looks at the contacts module for the searching.

Does anyone know how I can change the content within this to utilise my new module too?

    Thanks, Mike

I'm trying to view the new module in Studio or Confinguration Tabs. I've created the module and installed it, but it is still in the module builder.
How can I do the display of my module in Studio?
I'm using sugar crm Professional v.5.

I think that you need to press the Deploy button from within the module builder to have it show on any tabs. I do not think it is visible to the rest of the system until that is done.
